3 dead, several wounded in shooting at private residence in Annapolis, Maryland; suspect taken into custody

Three people succumbed to their injuries and three others were injured in a shooting at a private residence.

In Annapolis, Maryland, local officials and witnesses said. Police said a suspect was taken into custody.

The incident occurred around 8 pm when officers received information about a shooting at a home in the 1000 block of Paddington Place, a neighbourhood in Annapolis, BNO News reported.

Police Chief Ed Jackson said six people were shot, of which three of them succumbed to their injuries. The victims were aged between 20 to 50 years and had known each other.

Police described the shooting as a result of an “inter-personal dispute”.

“It’s unusual for Annapolis,” Jackson said.
