6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Nepal, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck Nepal on Sunday morning, said the National Seismological Centre of Nepal.

It added that the epicentre of the earthquake was at Dhading, which is located around 55 kilometres west of the capital Kathmandu.

The quake was at a depth of 13 kilometres, said the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

There was no report of any death or damage resulting from the tremor. The jolt was also felt in other districts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The tremors of the earthquake were also felt in the Delhi-NCR region.
