The 70th National Film Awards ceremony is set to take place today, October 8. Keeping the tradition going, the National Awards ceremony will take place in New Delhi yet again.
The ceremony will be hosted at Vigyan Bhavan and the honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will present the awards to the 70th National Awards winners. This year, Mithun Chakraborty will be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

This year, the South Indian film industries emerged as the biggest winners of the National Awards. Films like Kantara and KGF 2, and performances by stars like Rishab Shetty have been recognised and honoured. Take a look at the big winners below:

The National Film Awards ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube via the official DD News Channel. The event begins at 3. Before the ceremony, the winners will be seen walking the red carpet.
