The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial is getting more controversial by the day.
After several headline-grabbing statements from both parties, Heard recently alleged that Depp pushed his former girlfriend, Kate Moss, from the stairs. Kate, appeared as a witness from Depp’s side and refuted all such claims made by Heard in the courtroom. For the unaware, Kate and Johnny dated for three years (1994 to 1997).
KATE MOSS SAYS JOHNNY DEPP NEVER PUSHED HER DOWN THE STAIRS
Amid the ongoing hearing between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case, the former’s ex-girlfriend, Kate Moss testified in court on May 25. Heard had once claimed that Depp pushed Moss from the stairs. She had said in court that a once-heated argument between Depp and his sister Whitney reminded her of the stairs incident. On Wednesday, Moss testified in favour of Depp via a video call where she dismissed all the claims made by Heard.
Moss, in fact, said, “As I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back.” Further adding, “And I screamed because I didn’t know what happened to me and I was in pain”. “He came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention,” she said. Moss also mentioned that Depp never kicked or pushed her.
WHAT DID AMBER HEARD SAY ABOUT KATE MOSS?
Amber Heard, during one her latest hearings, mentioned an incident of ex-husband Johnny Depp with his sister. She said that Depp was engaged in an argument with her sister, Whitney Henriquez, when their confrontation turned volatile. Amber Heard had said during her testimony, “[Whitney’s] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her…I don’t hesitate, i don’t wait — I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.”
She continued and said, “And I swung at him. In all of my relationship to date with Johnny, I hadn’t landed a blow. And I, for the first time, hit him, like actually hit him. Square in the face. He didn’t push my sister down the stairs.”
WHAT FUELLED JOHNNY AND AMBER’S DOWNFALL?
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the sets of The Rum Diary (2009) and started dating a while later. They tied the knot in 2015. In 2016, Amber filed for divorce, alleging that Johnny had physically abused her during their marriage under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Johnny denied the accusations and stated that it was Amber, who was “attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.” Johnny and Amber’s divorce was finalised in 2017. And in 2018, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor filed a defamation case against his ex-wife for her opinion piece on domestic abuse.
