A workplace mishap has put an Australian adult film actor’s tool of trade out of commission.

In a tell-all interview with Daily Mail, porn star Liam Ellis revealed that he fractured his penis while filming an “intense sex scene”.

Detailing what went wrong at the shoot, Ellis said, “Basically I was having sex at the time… and it slipped out and I was still in motion and I wasn’t lined up. That caused my penis to bend and tear.”

Ellis said he didn’t notice the injury right away. “I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but a while later it turned completely black,” the 34-year-old said.

After consulting the internet, he said it was “pretty obvious I had something called a penile fracture.”

The adult film actor underwent surgery to repair the fracture and will not be able to film scenes while he recovers. Understandably, he expressed concerns that he “might never be the same again”.

The incident has not put off Ellis from continuing his work in the adult film industry, though he vowed to be more cautious in the bedroom in future.

WHAT IS A PENILE FRACTURE?
A penile fracture is not like a regular bone fracture, as the penis is not made of bone. A penile fracture, instead, is a tear of the tunica albuginea, a protective membrane inside the penis that surrounds the erectile tissue, that occurs when an erect penis is subjected to an abnormal ‘bending’ force.

The classic sign of a penile fracture is a “popping” sensation, causing an immediate detumescence or loss of erection, followed by swelling and bruising around the torn area.

Usually, surgery is required to repair the tear and stop the bleeding.
