Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is on a visit to India, relished Indian delicacies including golgappas and lassi as he visited the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

The two leaders sat on the park’s bench, had lassi in kulhads (mud cups) and held discussions.
Both the leaders also spoke as they walked in the park after praying and showering flowers at the Bal Bodhi Tree.
PM Fumio Kishida, who was in India for just about 27 hours, held a meeting with PM Modi at Hyderabad House. Kishida invited PM Modi to the G7 leaders meeting scheduled to be held in Hiroshima in May this year.
During the talks, PM Modi conveyed to Kishida that one of the areas of very strong cooperation between India and Japan could be co-innovation, co-design, co-creation in the defence manufacturing sector.
