Shiva Rajkumar’s extended cameo appearance in Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer became a sensation. In a new interview with India Today.

The actor opened up about the reaction to his performance in the film, and shared his thoughts about whether he is open to a spin-off on his character in a film.

when Shiva Rajkumar was asked about the reaction to Jailer and if he is ready to star in a spin-off around his character, the actor said, “I don’t mind. I really don’t know how it works. Nelson Dilipkumar should create and have that idea, because, after the success of Jailer, he has got more responsibility for his next film. But, there was one sequence, which was supposed to be shot in the prison, but then later he said, ‘Not necessary sir’. So, I don’t know what will happen about that. If it is on the same line, then I don’t mind at all. Having said that, Nelson is very good at portraying such grey characters.”

Meanwhile, the actor was all smiles when asked about the reception of his performance in the film. He played a gangster named Narasimha in the film, who is Rajinikanth’s character Tiger’s friend. The actor said that he never expected such a response. “Everybody is surprised. People’s reaction we don’t know what they take. Some magic is there… where the director and music director has created, as well as the presence,” he said.
