The 2017 Unnao rape victim has accused four people including her mother, sister and sister of grabbing.

The money she received from the government and NGOs, and throwing her out of the house which was allocated to her. A case has been filed under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on her complaint.

Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was sentenced to life imprisonment after he was convicted of kidnapping and raping the victim, who is now married and pregnant. She was a minor at the time of the incident and Sengar faced charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

In her complaint, she alleged that her uncle, who has been serving a 10-year-long jail term since 2019, and her mother, a Congress leader, have taken away the money she received as aid from the government and different NGOs. She explained that she could not have access to the money when the incident made the headlines as she was still a minor at the time.

She told the police that her uncle, who is currently lodged in Tihar jail, took the help of his woman friend to transfer the money to his family member’s bank account. When she asked for the amount, the uncle said Rs 7 crore was spent on her case and demanded more money from her.

She also alleged that her sister was threatening to implicate her husband in a rape case. She added that at her uncle’s direction, her mother and sister dragged her out of the house the government gave her in Delhi. Noting that the well-being of her unborn child is in danger, she appealed to the police to safeguard herself and her husband.
