Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the country’s Mossad spy agency to take action against Hamas terrorists wherever they are, even outside Gaza.

Speaking at a news conference, the Israeli Prime Minister said, “I have instructed the Mossad to act against the heads of Hamas, wherever they are.”

Most of Hamas’s top leadership lives in exile, primarily in the Gulf state of Qatar and the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

The Mossad has been accused in a series of assassinations overseas of Palestinian militants and Iranian nuclear scientists over the years.

Meanwhile, Israel’s national security adviser said the release of hostages under a temporary truce agreement with Gaza’s Hamas rulers will not happen before Friday.

“Negotiations for the release of our captives are progressing and continue all the time,” Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi said in a statement released by the prime minister’s office.

“The start of the release will proceed according to the original agreement between the parties, and not before Friday,” Hanegbi said.

As the truce agreement was finalised, Netanyahu said he had told US President Joe Biden that he would press ahead with Israel’s war against Hamas after the temporary ceasefire. Netanyahu said he delivered the message to Biden in a phone call on Wednesday.

“I want to be clear. The war is continuing. The war is continuing. We will continue it until we achieve all our goals,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli Prime Minister also said his country would resume the war until Hamas is destroyed and all of the 240 hostages it is holding are released.
