Suryakumar Yadav revealed his message to Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma during the India vs Australia T20I series ahead of the start of the South Africa T20Is.

Rinku’s partnership with Jitesh Sharma was pivotal, adding 56 runs and shifting the game’s momentum in India’s favor. His consistent form throughout the series, with scores of 31, 22, and 46, showcased his ability to handle pressure and contribute significantly to the team’s success.

Jitesh also played a big role in the final two matches. During the fourth game of the series, he played a significant role by scoring a quickfire 35 runs off just 19 balls, which included a crucial 56-run partnership with Rinku Singh.

His performance contributed to India’s total of 174-9. In the fifth and final match, Sharma added a brisk 24 off 16 deliveries, helping India clinch the series with a 4-1 victory. His fearless batting style and ability to stabilize innings under pressure were evident throughout the series.

Speaking ahead of the first T20I against South Africa, Suryakumar said that the message to both men is to play the role they have been doing for their state and IPL teams. The Indian skipper said that both men bailed them out during matches against the Aussies.

Suryakumar also said that he told both of them to think about the team first and then about their personal milestones.

“Right now, the number that Rinku and Jitesh has been batting for their state team and the IPL, they have been given the same opportunity here as well. We have told them to do the same thing they have been doing for their state and the IPL, and nothing different.”

“They have been doing the same thing in T20I series against Australia. Whenever we were in trouble, they both showed character, and played according to the demand of the team.”

“I told them one thing. Think of the team first and then your personal milestones. Then the situation will become easy,” said Suryakumar.
