PM Modi holds roadshow with UAE President in Ahmedabad ahead of Gujarat Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, led a grand roadshow on Tuesday from Ahmedabad Airport to Gandhinagar.

A 3-kilometre-long mega roadshow kicked off in the evening after the Prime Minister welcomed the UAE President at the airport. The foreign ministry shared photos of the Prime Minister greeting the UAE President at the airport with the caption: “Reaffirming the strong bonds of friendship!”

In a post on X, the foreign ministry spokesperson wrote, “In a special gesture PM Narendra Modi warmy received UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi as he arrived at the Ahmedabad airport.”

“His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Chief Guest of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit,” the post read.

The procession will wrap up at Indira Bridge, connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. A senior police official mentioned on Monday that thorough security measures have been implemented for the event, as per news agency PTI.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar. Notably, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be attending the summit as the chief guest.

After inaugurating the summit on Wednesday, Modi will meet with CEOs of major global corporations and then head to GIFT City. Around 5:15 pm, he is scheduled to interact with influential business leaders at the Global FinTech Leadership Forum.

The 10th edition of VGGS is scheduled to take place from January 10 to 12 in Gandhinagar.
