Iran Strikes Jaish al-Adl Militant Bases in Pakistan, Islamabad Warns Of Consequences
Iran on Tuesday launched attacks in Pakistan targeting what it described as bases for the militant group Jaish al-Adl.

Jaish al-Adl is a Sunni Salafi separatist militant organization operating mainly in southeastern Iran, having a concentration of Sunni Baluchis and a porous border with Pakistan. The group, formed in 2012 and designated as a “terrorist organisation” by Tehran, has launched multiple attacks on Iranian security forces in recent years.

A Pakistani military official familiar with the developments said that the two missiles fired from Iran landed in the villages of Sabsko and Chedgi of Panjgur district of Pakistan. The person mentioned above, who is an official in the Pakistan Southern Command, said the armed forces of the nation are still ascertaining the facts.
Pakistan summoned Tehran’s top diplomat in Islamabad to protest the “unprovoked violation of its airspace” and said that the airstrikes were “illegal”. The nation’s foreign ministry said that two children were killed and three others were injured in the airstrikes.
The Pakistan foreign office did not reveal where the strikes took place but Pakistani social media accounts reported that the blasts happened in Balochistan province where Iran and Pakistan share a 1000-km border.
“This violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty is completely unacceptable and can have serious consequences. It resulted in the death of two innocent children while injuring three girls,” the Pakistan foreign ministry said.
“It is even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran. Pakistan has always said terrorism is a common threat to all countries in the region that requires coordinated action,” Pakistan’s foreign ministry said.
