One non-local was killed and another severely injured after some unknown terrorists opened fire at them in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said.
According to police, a non-local identified as Amritpal Singh resident of Amritsar, succumbed to his injuries, while another person was evacuated for medical attention.
Terrorists opened fire at Shaheed Gunj area in Srinagar.
“Terrorists fired upon a non-local identified as Amritpal Singh resident of Amritsar at Shaheed Gunj #Srinagar, who #succumbed to the injuries.
One more person is grievously injured and evacuated for medical attention. Area has been #cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police said on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and efforts to nab the terrorists are underway.
