Benchmark stock market indices in India opened lower on Tuesday, following the trend of Asian markets.
This decline comes after China’s attempts to boost its property markets failed to spark investor interest. Additionally, diminishing prospects of an imminent U.S. interest rate cut have further dampened market sentiment.
As of 9:15 a.m. IST, the NSE Nifty 50 index was down by 0.21 per cent, standing at 22,075.10. Similarly, the S&P BSE Sensex also experienced a dip, losing 0.14 per cent to reach 72,607.50.
