BJP leader and advocate Devaraje Gowda has been accused of molestation and sexual harassment.
The FIR was registered on April 1 but has come to light only recently. Gowda flagged Prajwal Revanna’s sex tapes. Gowda alerted the BJP’s top leaders in the state about Prajwal Revanna’s sexual atrocities through a letter.
The complaint was filed by a woman with an FIR registered at Holenarasipura Town Police station on April 1. Besides, the woman’s husband filed a complaint on March 30, alleging that Gowda had barged into their house, threatened, and abused them.
The incident appears to have stemmed from a property sale, through which the woman became acquainted with Gowda. She alleges that he sexually harassed, physically assaulted, and threatened her under the guise of offering assistance.
According to the FIR, the accused has been harassing the woman for the past 10 months on the pretext of helping her in selling property.
Gowda took the woman to a secluded place and allegedly molested her, and he also threatened to kill her and her husband, the victim stated in the police complaint.
The complainant has sought protection for her family.
