RCB skipper Faf du Plessis got it wrong at the toss when he said the side was unchanged for their clash against CSK at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on May 18, Saturday.

RCB had brought back Glenn Maxwell for the clash as Will Jacks had left for home to join with the England squad ahead of their series against Pakistan.

Jacks’ was one of RCB’s in-form players, scoring a fine hundred against GT earlier in the season. However, the England players had returned home for the series during last weekend as they prepare for the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and the US. Maxwell hasn’t had the best of season in the IPL as he has scored just 36 runs from 8 matches. His average is 5.14 and has a strike-rate of 97.29. Maxwell had taken a break during the tournament to get back into form.

Maxwell has picked up 5 wickets at an average of 20.82. RCB would be hoping that the Aussie all-rounder can step up at the Chinnaswamy on Saturday as they need a win to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs.

CSK have gone for an unchanged side for the game with Shivam Dube expected to come in as their impact player. CSK had won the toss on the day and opted to field first.
