‘Kakuda’: Sonakshi Sinha set to venture into horror-comedy with upcoming film
Sonakshi Sinha is all set to venture into the horror-comedy genre with ‘Kakuda’. Produced by RSVP and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar.
The film promises a laughter riot with a twist of fear. Along with Sonakshi, the film will also feature Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, and is set to premiere soon on ZEE5.
Set in the village of Ratodi in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, ‘Kakuda’ revolves around a peculiar ritual that has plagued the village for years. Each house in Ratodi has two similar-looking doors—one normal-sized and one smaller. Every Tuesday at 7:15 pm sharp, the smaller door must be opened, or the wrath of Kakuda will be unleashed upon the man of the house.
But the questions loom – Who is Kakuda? Why does he punish the men in the village? How will the villagers break free from this curse? As the tagline warns, “Ab Mard Khatre Me Hai!” (Now the men are in danger).

Director Aditya Sarpotdar shared his enthusiasm for the project.
