Singham Again: Rohit Shetty announces trailer date, teases Ajay Devgn’s new look

Rohit Shetty has officially announced the trailer release date for Singham Again, the much-anticipated fifth film in his successful cop universe.

And the third instalment of the Singham franchise. The video also teases a new look for Ajay Devgn’s iconic character – Bajirao Singham. Shetty shared the news via a special promo video on Instagram, where he expressed gratitude to his audience for their unwavering support, particularly after the challenges brought on by the pandemic, when Sooryavanshi – led by Akshay Kumar – was released.

The promo also offers fans a tantalising first look at Ajay Devgn’s character, Bajirao Singham, sporting a striking salt-and-pepper appearance. In the teaser, Devgn’s Singham is seen standing in a snowy, mountainous landscape, his back facing the camera, hinting at an intense and dramatic storyline.

Sooryavanshi marked the last major film release in Shetty’s interconnected cop universe, which has also featured Simmba starring Ranveer Singh. With Singham Again, fans are eager to see what new twists and high-octane action will unfold in Shetty’s beloved series. In 2023, the cop universe ventured into web series when they released Indian Police Force, that was headlined by Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Sharad Kelkar, Nikitin Dheer and various others.

The film is led by Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, with special appearances by many actors, including Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.

Singham Again is slated to hit the screens as the big Diwali release this year on November 1. It is facing a box office clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which features Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri, among others. There’s enough buzz to attract audiences to theatres for both the films.
