PM Modi To Be Conferred With Highest Honours From Guyana, Barbados; International Awards Rise To 19

Guyana will confer its highest national award ‘The Order of Excellence’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while Barbados will confer its prestigious Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados on him.

This comes days after Dominica’s announcement of conferring its top award — ‘Dominica Award of Honour’ — on PM Modi.

With the latest two additions, the number of international honours to the Prime Minister reached 19. “Guyana will confer its highest national award, “The Order of Excellence” on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Barbados will confer the prestigious Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados on PM Modi,” officials said.

PM Modi was honoured with Nigeria’s second highest national honour ‘The Grand Commander of The Order of the Niger’ by Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, during the first leg of his three-nation visit.

He had expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government while receiving the honour and said, “This honour will keep inspiring us to take the India-Nigeria strategic partnership to new heights”.
