Lucknow Super Giants’ Ayush Badoni set the field on fire while playing in the Emerging Asia Cup on Monday, October 21. Fielding at long-off, Badoni pulled off a diving effort to dismiss UAE’s Jawadullah in India’s second group-stage game in the tournament.

The incident happened in the 15th over of the game off Ramandeep Singh’s bowling. The UAE batter had hit a strong shot down the wicket hoping that he could get a boundary. However, Badoni sprinted to his right and got both hands to the ball to pull off a sensational effort. The catch reminded the fans of Ramandeep’s effort against Pakistan A which helped India win a nervy encounter.

India A continued their winning streak in the Emerging Asia Cup with a dominant performance, securing a comprehensive victory over UAE by 7 wickets on October 21. The match, held at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, saw all-round brilliance from Abhishek Sharma, helping his side climb to the top spot of Group B, overtaking Pakistan with two wins from two games.

Abhishek Sharma found his form, making key contributions with both bat and ball. It was his bowling, however, that first set the tone for India A’s commanding performance. The 24-year-old delivered a crucial spell, picking up the wicket of UAE captain Basil Hameed, in what was a wicket-maiden over. India A’s bowlers were relentless, restricting UAE to a modest total of 107. Rasikh Salam was particularly impressive, taking 3/15, while Ramandeep Singh also shone with a 2/7 spell.

Ramandeep’s Catch from IND A vs PAK A

India A’s Ramandeep Singh produced a moment of brilliance to dismiss Pakistan A’s Yasir Khan during their Emerging Asia Cup clash on October 19. The diving catch, which turned a certain boundary into a wicket, left spectators at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman awestruck. Ramandeep’s athletic effort came at a crucial moment in Pakistan A’s 183-run chase, effectively turning the game in India A’s favour.

This pivotal dismissal further derailed Pakistan A’s run chase. Yasir’s wicket put enormous pressure on the middle-order batters, and despite a valiant knock from Arafat Minhas and a brief cameo from Abdul Samad, the team struggled to recover. The India A bowling attack, led by Anshul Kamboj, was equally impressive. Kamboj delivered a standout performance, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs, ensuring Pakistan A never gained momentum, and his recurring breakthroughs stifled any hopes of a comeback and winning the clash by 7 runs.
