A court in Punjab’s Baba Bakala issued an order to arrest AAP MLA Dalbir Singh Tong in connection with a cheque bouncing case.

The MLA from Baba Bakala has been ordered to appear before the court by February 17. The court also reprimanded the officer in charge of the Beas Police Station as multiple arrest warrants had been issued against the AAP MLA.

This comes days after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal for the fifth time in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case.

Arvind Kejriwal has skipped four summonses issued by the probe agency so far, calling them “illegal” and “politically motivated”.

The AAP leader was supposed to appear before the ED on January 18, when the agency issued a fourth summons to him. However, he skipped the summons with the party saying he was not an accused.

Kejriwal’s AAP colleagues, his former deputy Manish Sisodia and party MP Sanjay Singh were arrested last year in connection with the liquor policy case.
