‘The Kerala Story’ trio – actor Adah Sharma, director Sudipto Sen and producer Vipul Shah – are back with yet another film.
This time, they want to wage a war against the Naxalites and the ‘left liberal pseudo-intellectuals’ with their upcoming film, ‘Bastar’. The teaser of the film is now out.
The teaser of the film, ‘Bastar, features just a monologue by the lead actor, Adah Sharma. Sharma plays the character of IPS Neerja Madhvan. She shares how many jawans have been martyred while fighting Naxals, which she claims is greater than the number of soldiers martyred fighting against Pakistan.
She then claims that students of ‘JNU’ celebrated when 76 jawans were ruthlessly killed in Bastar by Naxalites. She questions where this thought comes from in a celebrated university like ‘JNU’. She also adds that the Naxalites are planning to disintegrate the nation, and the students are siding with them.
She concludes her monologue by waging war against not just Naxalites, but also against ‘left liberal pseudo-intellectuals’. She also says, “In bampanthiyon ko sadak pe khada kar goli mar dungi (I will shoot these leftists in the street),” ending it with a ‘Jai Hind’.
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sunshine pictures and co-produced by Aashin A. Shah, ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ is directed by Sudipto Sen and will have Adah Sharma in the lead. The film will be released on March 15, 2024, in cinemas worldwide.
