The Enforcement Directorate (ED) comes knocking to a poll-bound state not ruled by the BJP before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana legislator Kalvakuntla Kavitha said today.
The Member of the Legislative Council of Telangana was named by the ED on Wednesday in a court filing over its investigations into the Delhi liquor scam.
Thousands of supporters gathered at K Kavitha’s Hyderabad home to extend their support for their leader in the dock over the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy. They stood and cheered for the MLC as a mark of strength and support.
The formation of BRS by CM KCR has rattled the BJP. These tricks of peddling hate, preaching bigotry & practise of intimidation won’t work with the army of TRS Party.

Addressing the media over her alleged involvement in the scam, Kavitha said: “The Modi government got elected eight years ago and since then, at least nine democratically-elected governments of various states were brought down and the BJP was made to come to power.”
“Even the children of this country know that in any election-going state before PM Modi, the ED will come knocking at your doors,” she said.
“The BJP resorts to cheap tricks, media leaks, and attacks the reputation of leaders. I would humbly like to tell Modi ji that if you want to put me behind bars, please go ahead but don’t expect or force us to stop working for the people,” she added.
The former Member of Parliament said that since Telangana is going to the polls next year, the Enforcement Directorate paid a visit before the prime minister as a part of a drill for all opposition-ruled states. The daughter of the Telangana chief minister said, “We have welcomed the ED and have assured them our full cooperation. But we will continue to expose the failures of the BJP.”
Under the leadership of KCR, the BRS government is performing exceptionally well in the state, which is why the BJP is conspiring to topple this successful regime, she said. “The BRS Party exposed the ‘poach-gate’ and other measures of retaliation towards the leaders of our party, including me, our MLAs, ministers, and MPs,” she added.
The daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asked the prime minister and the BJP that “apart from their tricks to topple the KCR government, what has the BJP government at the Centre done for Telangana?”
She later tweeted a video of her greeting the BRS party workers and supporters who had come to extend their support and wrote: “The formation of BRS by CM KCR has rattled the BJP. These tricks of peddling hate, preaching bigotry & practice intimidation won’t work with the army of the BRS party. We are committed to the people of Telangana and nothing can stop us from serving them.”
