Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot was admitted to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in the late hours on Friday after he tested positive for coronavirus and swine flu.
Gehlot, 72, was admitted with a fever and low oxygen saturation after he tested positive for both viral infections.
News agency PTI quoted the doctor at SMS Hospital as saying that Gehlot was admitted to the government facility late last night with a fever and low oxygen saturation.
He is on oxygen support and his condition is stable, the doctor told PTI.
In a post on X on Friday night, Gehlot said he had a fever for the past few days and had tested positive for Covid and swine flu.
Gehlot also said, “Due to fever for the last few days, today I got myself tested on the advice of doctors who confirmed (that I have) Covid and swine flu. Because of this, I will not be able to meet (anyone) for the next seven days.”
The Congress leader also advised people to take care of their health in the changing season.
“In this changing season, everyone should also take care of their health,” he said.
