Elvish Yadav Loses Cool on Media After ED Interrogation: ‘Ghar Jao, Bhooke Mar Rahe Hoge’

YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav faced another round of questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday.

The interrogation, which lasted eight hours, was part of an ongoing investigation into the Noida Snake Venom case. Now, a video of him coming out of ED office and loosing cool on reporters present outside has been going viral on the Internet. In the video, Yadav says, “Chill guys chill, relax. Side hato bhai. Khana khao apne ghar jakar. Bhooke mar rahe hoge [Move aside, go home. You all must be starving],” as he makes his way down the stairs of the ED building.

According to a report by Zee News, Yadav forcefully pushed media personnel aside and hastily slammed the car door shut. In doing so, two journalists had their hands caught in the door, resulting in injuries. Elvish Yadav, 26, in response to this video, shared a clip of reporters talking to each other outside ED office. Alongside, he wrote, “For those jo media ko democracy ka fourth pillar maanta hai [For those who consider media as the fourth pillar of democracy].”

In the video, reporters can be heard discussing how to stop Yadav from leaving the ED building so that they can question him. “Ek aadmi neeche se inko tight se pakad lena inko aage jaane na dena [Someone hold him tightly from below, don’t let him move forward].”

Yadav was arrested on March 17 this year by Noida Police and was sent to 14-day judicial custody. The police filed a case against him under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. A day after his arrest, Yadav admitted to his crimes, Five days after his arrest, a local court granted him bail on a Rs 50,000 bond.

His lawyer Prashant Rathi had said, “Our arguments in this case was that he was falsely accused and no substance was obtained from him or his friends that violated the NDPS act. The court has granted bail to him (Elvish Yadav) as well as his two friends on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.”

Yadav, in one of his vlogs, recalled the time he spent in jail, “The one week that went by, no doubt, was a very bad phase of life. What to talk about the time I was inside (jail). Let’s start a new chapter on a positive note. All those who supported me, didn’t support me, talked badly or well about me, thanks to all. I can only thank everyone. I am back to my work.”
