Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has broken the record for the most ever participants in a single Twitter Space, his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a tweet on Thursday.

As per PTI, 1,65,000 people participated in Imran Khan’s Twitter Space. Twitter Space is a fairly new feature introduced by the social media giant to enable users to engage in live audio conversations.

In the tweet, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wrote, “Congrats Pakistan! Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s space session is the top space in terms of participants in Twitter’s history!”

WHAT HAPPENED IN TWITTER SPACE?
Addressing party workers via a Twitter Space on Wednesday night, Imran Khan alleged that “some elements” in the powerful establishment who indulged in “bad practices” were responsible for his unceremonious ouster from power.

He was removed from the post of prime minister earlier this month after he lost a no-trust vote in the Pakistan National Assembly.

On Wednesday, he said, “There are also humans in institutions. If one or two individuals do something wrong, the entire institution is not responsible. If one person [in an apparent reference to Army chief Gen Bajwa] makes a mistake, this does not mean that the whole institution is at fault.”
