US Representative Nancy Mace blasted Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on Monday during a hearing at the House Oversight Committee on the assassination attempt on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Throwing a series of yes or no questions at Cheatle, who is facing pressure from both the Republican and Democratic parties to resign, Mace called out the Secret Service chief for being “dishonest”.

Nancy Mace raked up five important elements pertaining to the shooting attack on Trump during his Pennsylvania rally on July 13. In a yes or no format, Kimberly Cheatle admitted during the hearing that the attack was a “colossal failure” and was “preventable”.

The US Congresswoman also asked the Secret Service director how her opening statement for the hearing leaked to the media before her appearance before the committee. To this, Kimberly Cheatle replied “no idea”.

“Well, that’s bulls***,” Nancy Mace said.

The US Congresswoman continued grilling the Secret Service chief on whether the federal agency was transparent and adhered to all demands by the committee regarding Trump’s shooting.

“I will have to get back to you on that,” Kimberly Cheatle said.

When the Secret Service gave the same answer three times, Nancy Mace took on the Secret Service chief, telling her that she is “full of s***”.

“You’re just being completely dishonest,” the Congresswoman added.

Nancy Mace moved a privileged motion to impeach Kimberly Cheatle on Monday, which forces leadership to act on the resolution within two legislative days.

“WATCH us introduce a privileged motion to impeach Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle. The House has NEVER voted on an impeachment of an inferior civil officer…but historic times call for historic measures,” Nancy Mace tweeted along with a video of her moving the motion during the hearing.

The shooting has sparked extreme scrutiny of the Secret Service, especially Kimberly Cheatle, with lawmakers questioning security lapses at the rally and how a gunman could rise up to a roof and get so close to a former President and the Republican Party’s nominee in the White House race this year.

Kimberly Cheatle, however, has rejected bipartisan calls to resign.

The US House of Representatives Oversight Committee’s Republican chair, James Comer, and top Democrat, Jamie Raskin, usually divided on a majority of matters, has each called for the Secret Service chief to step down.
