Gangster Raju Theth’s supporters call for bandh in Sikar, cops probe gang war in Rajasthan

Two people, including gangster Raju Theth, were shot dead and one person was injured when five people believed to be part of a rival gang opened fire in Rajasthan’s Sikar on Saturday.

According to reports, Theth was killed when a few miscreants opened fire at him at the entrance to his house on Piprali Road in Sikar at around 9.30 am. Police have arrested four suspects from Haryana – identified as Himanshu, Satish, Jatin and Naveen alias Boxer.

After the gangster was shot down, police are trying to investigate who could have been behind the murder, although a person named Rohit Godara has claimed responsibility for his death. A bandh was also called by Raju Theth’s supporters in the Lakshamgarh town of Sikar district on Sunday.

Four people from Haryana have been arrested for the murder of gangster Raju Theth, who was shot at his residence in Rajasthan’s Sikar district on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Himanshu, Satish, Jatin and Naveen alias Boxer–all residents of Haryana. Rajasthan’s Director General of Police Shri Umesh Mishra said four of the five suspects involved in Raju Theth’s murder have been identified and they were arrested from Bhiwani in Haryana.

The other person killed in the incident has been identified as Tarachand Kadwasara, who reportedly was in the area to meet his daughter. Tarachand had come to meet his daughter Konita at her coaching centre who was preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination for the last two years.

Rohit Godara, who claimed responsibility for Raju Theth’s murder, is a history-sheeter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Rohit Godara currently runs the criminal operations of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar from Azerbaijan. He is a wanted criminal in India.

The BJP has cancelled the Jan Akrosh Yatra in Rajasthan’s Sikar after gangster Raju Theth was shot dead outside his residence on Saturday. The state unit of the BJP has decided to hold a meeting at the headquarters.

A bandh has been called in the Lakshamgarh town of Sikar district on Sunday to protest against the alleged gang war and demand the arrest of the killers involved in Raju Theth’s murder.

The place where the incident took place has several hostels and coaching centres. Gangster Raju Theth also ran a hostel there, according to the sources.
