On Monday, both gold and silver were trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
Gold futures, maturing on October 5, 2022, stood at Rs 49,350 per 10 grams with a hike of Rs 38 or 0.08 per cent.
Meanwhile, silver futures, maturing on December 5, 2022, were trading at Rs 55,800, with a downfall of Rs 633 or 1.13 per cent on the MCX.

When the market closed, gold stood at Rs 49,401 per 10 grams, whereas silver was at Rs 56,233 per kg on the MCX.
