India Alerts Canada About Khalistani Who Killed Shaurya Chakra Awardee & Now Works For Their Border Police
India on Saturday informed Canada about Khalistani terrorist Sandeep Singh Sidhu, aka Sunny, who works as a border police official there.
Pakistani spy agency ISI-backed Sandeep Singh Sidhu is wanted for murdering Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a Shaurya Chakra awardee. Balwinder Singh Sandhu was shot dead outside his home in Bhikhiwind, Tarn Taran district, in October 2020.
Sandhu received the Shaurya Chakra for his efforts against militancy in the state during the 1990s. The Shaurya Chakra is an Indian military decoration awarded for acts of valour, courageous action, or self-sacrifice when not in direct combat with the enemy.
Sandeep shot Balwinder for trying to prevent the Canadian ‘border agent’ from smuggling narcotics and weapons across the border. He was in touch with Pakistan-based Khalistan Liberation Front (KLF) terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode and other ISI operatives.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) told the Supreme Court this week that Khalistani terrorists based in Canada were the masterminds behind the 2020 murder of Shaurya Chakra awardee Comrade Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Punjab.
The investigation agency told the Supreme Court that Sukhmeet Pal Singh alias Sukh Bhikariwal, Sunny Toronto (a Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) operative based in Canada) and Lakhveer Singh alias Rode (nephew of Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala and head of terror outfit International Sikh Youth Federation and Khalistan Liberation Force) instructed and tasked the accused to commit the crime.
