India play Afghanistan in their first Super 8 clash in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Rohit Sharma’s team will be up against a wily Afghanistan under the leadership of Rashid Khan. The Afghan side, who are traditionally the most dangerous in the T20I format will hope to spring a surprise against India – one the favourites to win the tournament.

Rashid Khan’s team have put in a couple of really impressive performances so far with their best one coming against New Zealand. Afghanistan bowled out New Zealand for just 75 runs in the group stage of the T20 World Cup, effectively knocking the side out of the tournament. The likes of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Naveen-ul-Haq have a world of experience in the format and can be really dangerous on their day.
