Actor Kajal Aggarwal has officially joined the cast of Salman Khan’s Sikandar.
The announcement came on Thursday, September 12, with Kajal sharing a post on Instagram. The AR Murugadoss-directed film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the female lead.
Kajal Aggarwal shared a photo from the first day of shooting for Sikandar, holding her VIP identification card against a bouquet of sunflowers. She tagged Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Rashmika Mandanna, and used the hashtag ‘#sikandar Day 1.
According to reports by Filmfare, the details of her role have been kept under wraps. Sikandar shooting began in June with an ambitious action sequence set 33,000 feet in the air, that featured Salman Khan inside a plane. The team is currently on a 45-day shooting schedule, following which they will move to a palace in Hyderabad.
The highly-anticipated film Sikandar has been generating significant buzz since its announcement for Eid 2024. Salman Khan’s return to theatres after a year-and-a-half break has added to the excitement.
While details about the film remain scarce, AR Murugadoss’ involvement has also contributed to the anticipation. Known for his blockbuster hits Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, Murugadoss’ return to Bollywood is eagerly awaited.
