Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut graced the trailer launch event of her upcoming release, Emergency, in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Where she expressed her gratitude to the cast of the film and thanked them for ‘standing with her.’ Kangana said that it is not easy to do a film with her or praise her, but her cast did exactly that, “This is a very emotional day for me. I can barely put any sentence together today.

It has been a long journey. I want to thank many people, a special thanks to writer Vijayendra Prasad Garu. He has been a guiding light. We were faced with many obstacles. Special thanks to my cast as well, because everybody knows I have been boycotted by the industry. It is not easy to stand with me, to do my film and most definitely not easy to praise me. But, they have done all of it.”

“I thank Anupam (Kher) ji for being strongly by my side. Above all, my producers. They have been such pillars of strength. I also want to thank my brother, since I have taken duties for my nation, he has been holding the fort for me. I miss Satish Kaushik ji today. He completed the dubbing, spoke to me about the film and gave me so much strength. In his honour, we will observe silence for some time,” Kangana added.

Ahead of the trailer launch event, Kangana had shared an Instagram post to mark the day. “From the conception of the idea, to see the film on the big screen, nothing is more gratifying than being a filmmaker. Today is a very special day. On the trailer launch of my directorial Emergency, the journey of Emergency from me to you begins. I can’t be happier. A piece of me will live in the world long after I am gone,” a section of the post read.

Also starring Milind Soman, Anupam Kher and others, Emergency is slated for a release on September 6.
