Kartik Aaryan reacts as Manu Bhaker says he deserves a medal for ‘Chandu Champion’

India’s star shooter Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics 2024, watched Kartik Aaryan’s latest film ‘Chandu Champion’ and praised his performance.

Bhaker shared her enthusiasm on social media, stating that Aaryan ‘deserved a medal’ for his acting. Now, the actor has responded to her praise.

Sharing her review of the film on Instagram, Manu Bhaker wrote, “Finally, the Olympics have ended and I saw #ChanduChampion as soon as I got home and this film turned out much more relatable than I thought (sic).”

She continued, “The prep, struggles, failure but never giving up. Hats off to @kartikaaryan for playing this role so effortlessly. Being an athlete myself, I know it’s not easy. Especially the prep sequence. You deserve a medal for this !!! (sic)”

Kartik Aaryan reacted to the post and wrote, “Wow !!! Thank you @bhakermanu These are the moments I will always cherish, when a real Champion like you showers praise on our labour of love! #ChanduChampion Love and respect for making every Indian proud (red heart and National Flag emoji) (sic).”

Manu Bhaker clinched a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event, making history as the first Indian woman to achieve this feat. Partnering with Sarabjot Singh, she secured India’s first-ever medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event, bringing home her second bronze from the games.

‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Kabir Khan, is based on the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. It is currently streaming on Prime Video.
