Kedarnath Yatra 2025: All You Need To Know About Registrations And Helicopter Services
The Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand attracts more than thousands of devotees every year.
The holy site, situated in the Garhwal Himalayan range, is a part of the Char Dham. This year, this pilgrimage will become more accessible for the devotees as online bookings for helicopter services are being offered.
Devotees can, now, book for a helicopter service during their pilgrimage to the Kedarnath Temple. The tickets for the same can be booked only from the official website of Heliyatra by IRCTC for journeys from May 2nd to May 31st, 2025.
However, before booking the helicopter, devotees must register themselves for the Kedarnath yatra on the official Uttarakhand tourism government portal.
How To Register For Kedarnath Yatra?
- New users need to sign up and create a profile, while existing users can log in using their credentials.
- Create a tour by selecting the start and the end dates. Add the number of tourists and their respective visiting dates.
- Complete the registration process by filling in the other details and downloading the Yatra letter.
How To Book The Helicopter Service for Kedarnath Yatra?
- Create an account on the Heliyatra portal. Fill in the OTP received on your mobile number and email ID.
- Log in to the account, and fill in the details received at the Yatra registration.
- Submit the details, select the date and time slot, and select the number of travellers.
- Pay for the service and you will receive the confirmation.
Helicopter services are available from Phata, Sirsi, and Guptkashi. The round-trip fare from Phata is Rs 6,063, from Sirsi is Rs 6,061, and from Guptkashi is Rs 8,533. A maximum of two tickets may be reserved per user, accommodating a total of six passengers. Refunds for tickets cancelled online will be processed within five to seven working days. However, cancellation fees will apply, and no refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than twenty-four hours before the scheduled departure time.
