‘Laapataa Ladies’ box office: Kiran Rao’s film earns Rs 6.36 crore on 1st weekend

The film ‘Laapataa Ladies’, produced by Jio Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, released globally on March 1, and generated a strong response from audiences.

Within its opening weekend, the film amassed a total of Rs 6.36 crores in box office collections worldwide. The film’s success is attributed to its comedic content, which has resonated well with viewers. Laapataa Ladies debuted with a collection of Rs 1.70 crores on its opening day, followed by a significant increase to Rs 3.85 crores on its second day.

The film’s momentum continued on its third day, with a substantial surge in collections, bringing its total to Rs 6.36 crores. Positive reviews and word-of-mouth have contributed to the film’s success, cementing its position in the global box office.

The makers shared the box office collections on social media and captioned, “Agar abhi tak #LaapataaLadies nahi dekhi toh ka kar rahe ho be? Now in theatres near you! (sic).”

Presented by Jio Studios, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami, The film is now released in cinemas.
