Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt presented a film titled ‘Madam Sapna’, based on the life of dancer Sapna Choudhary.
The film will take the audience through Sapna’s life journey – from the modest lanes of Haryana to the prestigious stages of Cannes, tracing the rise of a small-town girl who became a national sensation.
‘Madam Sapna’ explores the incredible story of Sapna Choudhary, who overcame multiple challenges to become a sensation. She survived a suicide attempt and endured a near-fatal gunshot and is now ready to open her life to her fans.
The film will capture the essence of Sapna’s journey, from humble beginnings to her time in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house and beyond. More details on who will play Sapna will be unveiled later. The script for the film and shoot will begin soon.
In 2023, Sapna marked her Cannes debut. Opening up about the same, she said, “Cannes is not just a dream, but a lifetime dream for any actress/actor, and I am thankful to God that today I could conquer this besides the facts of not even knowing English or any international languages, I am a proud Indian standing here at Cannes for my country and my State Haryana. People of Air France are so generous and accepting, I think acceptance is the biggest step towards change and humanity as well!”
Talking about her dream debut of walking the red carpet, Sapna shared, “It was an incredible experience to debut at the Cannes Film Festival. Walking the red carpet was surreal. The atmosphere was electric and I was thrilled to be there with so many other talented artists from around the world.”
She further mentioned, “Being the first regional artist to achieve this milestone is a dream come true. I never anticipated it, but I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and because of the support of my fans and my team.”
More details on the project are awaited.
