‘Maidaan’ teaser: Ajay Devgn presents true story of Indian football’s golden era

The teaser of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ is finally out, leaving fans excited for the trailer which releases on March 7.

The film has been in the making for about five years now. ‘Maidaan’ was first slated for release in 2020. Ajay’s film will finally see an Eid release.

Ajay’s ‘Maidaan’ teaser was finally unveiled on March 6. It offers a tiny glimpse into India’s former glorious days in football. The film is based on a true story. Sharing the teaser, Ajay wrote, “We’re ready to present the incredible true story of the golden era of Indian Football (sic).”

Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ release has been delayed by over four years now. Every year, the film’s release date gets pushed, either due to a clash or due to an unforeseen circumstance. However, the film will not have a solo release. It clashes with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ on Eid.

In 2023, the makers of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’, dropped another teaser. It offered a fleeting look at the illustrious era of Indian football, spanning from 1952 to 1962. Within this time frame, the Indian football team achieved the remarkable feat of qualifying for the Olympics on two occasions. In the face of numerous challenges, such as the absence of proper footwear, the team displayed unwavering determination and gave their utmost effort.
