‘Main Atal Hoon’ director says why Pankaj Tripathi was the ‘only choice’ for makers
Pankaj Tripathi is set to step into the shoes of Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the upcoming film, ‘Main Atal Hoon.’
Ahead of that, the film’s director Ravi Jadhav shared why the actor was their first choice for playing the role. Ravi also praised Pankaj’s personality and shared some similarities between him and the former Prime Minister of the country.

‘Main Atal Hoon’ is set to release in theatres on January 19. Speaking about Pankaj Tripathi, the film’s director, Ravi Jadhav, shared why Pankaj was the right choice for playing Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The director explained, “When the makers approached me to create a film on Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi was their immediate choice, and I fully supported it. Both Atal Ji and Pankaj Tripathi, coming from small towns to achieve great success, share a deep connection to their country.”
He further added, “Pankaj Tripathi’s transparent personality uniquely qualifies him to portray Atal Ji on screen. So, for me and the producers, Pankaj Tripathi was the only choice for Main ATAL Hoon. The first look image of Pankaj Tripathi confirmed that we made the right decision.”

Directed by award-winning director Ravi Jadhav and written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav, ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios, is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, and Kamlesh Bhanushali. The film is set to hit the big screens on January 19.
The film promises to take us through different stages of his life and introduce us to the late former Prime Minister of India.
