PM Modi meets Abu Dhabi Crown Prince in Delhi, focus on strengthening ties

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday as he arrived in New Delhi for his two-day maiden visit to India, aimed at further boosting bilateral ties across a range of areas.

Al Nahyan, who arrived on Sunday, was welcomed by Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House, where the leaders held their discussions today. The External Affairs Ministry, sharing pictures of PM Modi greeting Sheikh Khaled, referred to him as a “close friend”.

Al Nahyan is also scheduled to call on President Droupadi Murmu and will also visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. This is the first visit of Al Nahyan to India as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. He is accompanied by several ministers from the UAE government and a business delegation.

After his meetings in Delhi, Al Nahyan is expected to travel to Mumbai to participate in a business forum. Top business leaders from both countries will participate in the forum on Tuesday.
