Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is just two days away from its grand release. As reported earlier, the film will release in five languages on September 9.
According to the latest development, the Malayalam version of Brahmastra will release in 102 screens in Kerala. This is the highest screen count for a Hindi film post pandemic. Despite many releases during Onam week, Brahmastra managed to lock in over 100 screens.
BRAHMASTRA TO RELEASE IN 102 SCREENS IN KERALA
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is one of the long-pending projects in Bollywood. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is a trilogy.
According to trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai, Brahmastra will be screened in 102 screens across Kerala during Onam (harvest festival in the state). He took to Twitter and wrote, “#Brahmastra gets 102 screens (so far) in #Kerala, despite multiple Malayalam #Onam releases and theatre owners reluctant to screen Hindi films! In fact last big Hindi film was released only in 27 screens! (sic).”
This is the highest screen count for a Hindi film in recent times. Last time, when a Hindi film released, it was screened in just 27 screens.
