Nearly eight months after the release of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, the film continues to generate buzz.
The latest reason for its renewed attention is a recently surfaced deleted scene that has taken social media by storm. This deleted scene has fans wondering why it was left out of the final cut. It shows a heavily intoxicated Ranbir Kapoor pouring himself another drink before heading into the plane’s cockpit. In a dramatic moment, he taps the pilot on the shoulder, indicating that he should leave the seat.
The next moment is visually striking. Ranbir is seated in the pilot’s chair with a cigarette dangling from his lips, while his gang watches in awe. The scene features no dialogue and instead relies on the powerful score of the song ‘Papa Meri Jaan’ to heighten its intensity.
Fans were quick to express their joy over the deleted scene. One of the users on X wrote, “Would love to see this movie’s director’s cut version TSeries, (sic) while another wrote, “This scene of the plane ascending symbolizes the story reaching new heights from here on. You can also see a similar shot in the movie when the plane is about to hit a mountain and take off. And the story takes off to the next level(sic).”
Released on December 1, 2023, the film centered on a man and his tumultuous relationship with his father. The film depicted Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero willing to go to extreme lengths to protect his father, even resorting to gunning down 200 people with a machine gun.
