Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill play Holi in Ahmedabad ahead of 4th Test

India cricketers began their Holi celebrations on their team bus in Ahmedabad on the eve of the Festival of Colours.

Senior cricketers Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli joined the likes of Shubman Gill as music and colours dominated the team’s journey on the way back to the hotel from training at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Shubman Gill shared a video of Team India’s Holi celebration from the team bus on Tuesday, March 7. Virat Kohli, holding his kit bag in one hand, can be seen drenched in colours as he adds to the atmosphere by flaunting his singing skills. Shubman can be seen holding the camera and capturing all the madness from the team bus.

India captain Rohit Sharma gets excited when he sees Gill recording the video and throws colour at Kohli and Gill from behind. Holi will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, but the celebrations have begun across the country on its eve. India and overseas stars, who are part of the Women’s Premier League in Mumbai, also began their Holi celebrations.

Rohit also shared photos of the Holi celebration from the team bus. The skipper posted selfies of the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Cheteshwar Pujara, Axar Patel and Mohammed Siraj drenched in Holi.

Both Rohit and Gill wished their fans ahead of the fun-filled festival.

The India cricketers looked relaxed as they made the team bus their venue for Holi celebration. The star players had their first training session ahead of the 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmeadabad.

Several of the India men’s team players will be on work mode on Holi as they will have their final training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the 4th and final Test against Australia.

India are leading 2-1 in the 4-Test series but Australia, led by stand-in captain Steve Smith, bounced back from a 0-2 scoreline to beat India in Indore by 9 wickets.

If India win the final Test, they will be assured of a place in the World Test Championship final, which will be held in London in June. Australia qualified for the summit clash after their Indore Test win.
