RRR’s Ray Stevenson no more. SS Rajamouli pays tribute and says ‘shocking…just can’t believe’

Hollywood actor Ray Stevenson breathed his last at the age of 58. He was known across India for his role as British Governor Mr Scott in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

The filmmaker was shocked to hear the demise of Ray. He took to his social media page to pay tribute to Ray Stevenson with a throwback picture from the sets of RRR. In his tweet remembering Ray Stevenson, Rajamouli spoke about how vibrant he was on the film sets.

The news about Ray Stevenson’s demise sent shockwaves in the film industry. Netizens in India remembered his role as Mr Scott in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

On May 23, SS Rajamouli took to Twitter to pay last respect to Ray Stevenson. Sharing a photo, he wrote, “Shocking…Just can’t believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace (sic).”

The official Twitter handle of RRR shared a BTS (behind-the-scenes) picture from the sets of RRR. In the photo, Ray Stevenson can be seen suspended mid-air while performing a stunt scene.

Sharing the photo, Team RRR wrote, “He was 56 years old when we were shooting this difficult scene but he did not hesitate while performing this stunt. We will forever cherish having you on the sets of #RRR, Ray Stevenson. Gone too soon (sic).”

The cause of Ray Stevenson’s demise remains unknown. He had acted in Thor films, Rome and Dexter, among other movies.
