Satyaprem Ki Katha opening collection
According to a report on Boxofficeindia.com, Satyaprem Ki Katha collected an estimated ₹8.5 -9 crore on Thursday. It stated that the number would have been a good collection if it came without the Eid holiday factor. It remains to be seen how the film performs on its day 2, a working Friday.

How the film fared as compared to Kartik’s earlier films
Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel had tweeted that Satyaprem Ki Katha had sold 51,500 tickets till Wednesday 10 pm which was “one of the best pre-sale for a mid-size film post pandemic.” The film’s opening is however, much lower than Kartik and Kiara’s 2022 blockbuster Bhoot Bhulaiyaa 2 which had opened at a massive ₹14 crore on day 1. It is still better than Kartik’s last theatrical release, Shehzada, which opened at ₹6 crore and turned out to be a flop.

Kartik’s visit to Siddhivinayak
As Satyaprem Ki Katha released in theatres on Thursday, Kartik Aaryan visited the Siddhivinayak Temple to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings for the film, just like his practice for for earlier films. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the romantic film reunites Kartik and Kiara after their 2022 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
