Shubman Gill has replaced Hardik Pandya as the vice-captain of India’s T20I side.

Shubman will be deputy to Suryakumar Yadav, who has been named as India’s T20I captain for the Sri Lanka tour. The BCCI has announced India’s ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. Gill was tasked with the captaincy duties for the 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Under his first-ever international captaincy stint, India won the series 4-1 against Zimbabwe.
