India will look for a whitewash when they face Charith Asalanka’s Sri Lanka in the third and final T20I of the three-match series on Tuesday, July 30 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Suryakumar Yadav has made an impressive start as India clinched series on Sunday after beating the hosts by seven wickets (DLS) in a rain-curtailed match.

After Sri Lanka scored 165, India were set a revised target of 78 in eight overs, and they romped home in 6.3 overs. After the match, Suryakumar said that India were a tad lucky as rain interrupted play and made it easier for the Men in Blue. Ravi Bishnoi was the star of the show after he finished with incredible figures of 4-0-26-3.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, would be gutted by their batting performance last time around. After Kusal Perera laid a strong platform for them, they scored 22 runs in the last four overs and could never get going in the death overs. Their bowlers weren’t helped by the fact that rain interrupted proceedings.

India to make changes?

Since India has also sealed the fate of the series and the upcoming match holds little significance, they might give chances to the ones who are yet to play in the series. Washington Sundar, Khaleel Ahmed and Shivam Dube are yet to get a game and might make the playing XI.

Sanju Samson struggled as an opener, and it remains to be seen whether he retains his place or India bring back Shubman Gill. Skipper Suryakumar has led from the front as he has scored 84 runs at a strike-rate of 221.05.

Hardik Pandya will also be looking to make an impact, especially after the rough outings he had with the ball. Riyan Parag has been impressive with the ball, but would want to get some runs under his belt.

India (Predicted XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya/Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel/Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj/Khaleel Ahmed
