After America and China, India has the highest number of cancer patients in the world.

Even now half the patients die. Even after treatment, cancer attacks again, but the doctors of the biggest cancer hospital, Tata Hospital, have found a cure for it. Doctors have prepared a tablet, which will prevent cancer from recurring and will also reduce the side effects of chemo-radiation.

Mumbai’s “Tata Memorial Hospital”, one of the largest and best cancer hospitals in India, is always full of patients. In view of the increasing cases of cancer in India, scientists at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research have developed a tablet that can help in treating cancer and preventing second occurrence of cancer.

For this research, human cancer cells were inserted into rats, after which tumors developed in them, then they were treated through radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery. It was found that when cancer cells die, they break into very small pieces, these pieces are called chromatin particles.

Chromatin particles can travel through the bloodstream to other parts of the body and when they enter healthy cells they can turn them into cancer cells, which can cause cancer to come back even after being destroyed.

To find a solution to this problem, doctors gave resveratrol and copper combined pro-oxidant tablets to the rats. These tablets were beneficial in preventing the effect of chromatin particles. Tata doctors were working on this tablet for almost a decade and finally they got success. Currently, the tablet is awaiting approval from the Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI).

Dr. Rajendra Badve, senior cancer surgeon and former director of Tata Memorial Hospital, said that at Rs 100, this will prove to be the cheapest treatment till date, in which the side effects of the therapy are expected to be reduced by 50% and there are about 30% chances that the cancer will not recur. spread out.

Dr. Rajendra Badve said, “This tablet will reduce the side effects of cancer treatment therapy by about 50% and is about 30% effective in preventing second-time cancer. While the treatment budget ranges from lakhs to crores, this tablet will be available everywhere for just Rs 100. It is expected to be approved by June-July.”

Cancer patients and their families from all over the country come to Tata Memorial Hospital, those who do not have a bed inside, they make the footpath their home. They too have gained courage due to the new major discovery on cancer.

Patients say, “If this happens then you will not have to make rounds again and again. In 2024 it seems that there will be a flood of patients. We are from Bihar, used to do farming but after cancer, we fear it might happen again, so we have to travel again and again in a year.”
