Uruguay legend Edinson Cavani announces retirement from international football
Uruguay’s veteran striker Edinson Cavani has announced his retirement from international football on May 30, Thursday.
Cavani, who is currently playing for Boca Juniors, announced his decision on his officil Instagram profile with a lengthy statement. Cavani thanked the team for the lessons he had learnt over the years and said he was blessed to have worn the shirt of the Uruguayan team. The veteran striker would then announce his decision and said he would follow the side and their performances on the field.
“I just want to thank you for every lesson you made me experience in your process. I don’t want to extend. Today there are few words but deep feelings. Thanks to each of the people who were part of this path for so many years.”
