Woman stabbed by colleague at parking lot over financial dispute in Pune

A 28-year-old woman, Shubda Shakar Kadar, working at a call centre for a multinational company in Pune’s Yerawada area, succumbed to her injuries.

After being stabbed multiple times by a colleague in the office parking lot. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening and was reportedly the result of a financial dispute. The accused, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, 30, confronted the woman as she was leaving for home around 6:30 p.m. A dispute between the two had already taken place earlier in the day, according to police officials.

CCTV footage from the scene shows Kanoja brandishing a kitchen knife and charging at the woman, who can be seen lying on the ground in visible pain. Despite her attempts to defend herself, Kanoja continued to stab her multiple times, including on her right elbow.

The woman was rushed to a nearby private hospital in critical condition, suffering from excessive blood loss. However, despite efforts to save her, she died during treatment. Police officials confirmed that the attack stemmed from a financial disagreement between the two colleagues. Kanoja has been detained and charged under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder.
